Nicky is a graduate of New York Vocal Coaching's Voice Training and Teacher Certification Program under master vocal teacher Justin Stoney. She recently received a certificate of achievement for Natalie Weiss' "Breaking Down The Riffs" course. Nicky has been privileged to have been mentored by Tony and Grammy award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda and to have worked with musical theatre legend Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell).

 

She is currently a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singers. She has studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, trained in music through the Berklee School of Music, and is a member of the Advanced BMI musical theatre workshop where she was awarded the Jean Banks Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre.  She is the recipient of multiple ASCAP Plus Awards and is a graduate of Ryerson University's Theatre Acting program. She is also the co-writer of the The Tweens 'N Teens Songbook - a new piano/vocal book of ten brand new musical theatre songs written for the adolescent performer.
